Nashville Association of Sales Professionals (NASP)
The Nashville Association of Sales Professionals (NASP) is a non-profit, professional organization which provides a positive forum for career enhancement training and networking for career sales people. The organization’s goal is to provide the tools and environment to raise and maintain the highest level of professionalism within the sales profession.

NASP meets for lunch on the second Friday of each month. Speakers are professionals from the industry who can speak to the very heart of the sales profession through experience and knowledge of what it takes to be the very best. Everyone attending meetings has the opportunity to do a brief stand-up introduction of themselves, their company, and the products they sell.

NASP offers events throughout the year to foster friendships and fun within our group such as a summer outing, a Christmas party, after-hours mixers, on-site visits to members’ businesses, sales training workshops and more. Sales Training Workshops are offered twice a year at a minimal cost for members. NASP members automatically become associate members of the Nashville Chamber of Commerce.

For more information, contact NASP through their website.

SME-Nashville Activities
SME-Nashville offers a full program of opportunities for members to interact with other area sales professionals. Monthly meetings include inspiring and educational speaker
programs along with a cocktail hour for networking prior to the dinner. SME-Nashville sponsors the DSMA Salesperson of the Year award every February. Past honorees include Vince Gill and Phil Bredesen. The chapter also holds an annual Christmas Gala and Silent Auction for as well as a golf
tournament in June to support their education foundation.

SME-Nashville's Interaction with MTSU
SME-Nashville is a sponsor organization for the MTSU chapter of Pi Sigma Epsilon, a national fraternity for students interested in sales, marketing and sales management. Each year SME-Nashville sponsors a golf tournament in June to raise money for their education foundation. The proceeds are used to support students' attendance at SME speaker meetings and dinners and for scholarships. SME also provides support for other universities in the Nashville area as well as the Junior Achievement program.

SME members often donate their time and expertise to PSE programs on MTSU's campus. One program is the "Ride With A Pro" exercise in which a student spends the day observing a day in the life of a professional salesperson. Videotaped "Mock Interviews" are also conducted for PSE members; the professional provides invaluable feedback to the student as they review together their videotaped role play of an interview. Finally, SME members serve as a resource for ideas and advice on sales projects, company tours, and speakers for PSE meetings.
