Sales students at MTSU are given the opportunity to participate in regional and national competitive events for demonstrating professional selling skills. These contests encourage students to take their classroom knowledge a step beyond the scope of the "grading scale" and hone their skills for a different set of incentives - prizes, recognition, and exposure to sales professionals.

Corporate Sponsored Scholarships
The MTSU Professional Sales Program awards sales scholarships to select students who demonstrate a strong interest in a sales career. Students competing for these scholarships need to meet the designated criteria and complete an application to be submitted for judging.

Organizations sponsoring a scholarship will have the option to not only help determine the award criteria, but also to help judge the applicants. In addition, the sponsoring organizations will have the opportunity to present the scholarships at the annual College of Business Awards Banquet.

Past scholarship donors include:

  • American Cellular
  • ARAMARK Uniform Services
  • Cumulus Media
  • Dell
  • Liberty Mutual
  • Northwestern Mutual Financial Network
  • The Berry Company

Awards are given locally to three students with the first-place student's videotape going on to the national competition in Milwaukee.

  • Gaining the Prospect's Attention
  • Developing Prospect's Interest Establishing
  • Qualifying Prospect's Needs
