Why Beta Theta Pi?

It's an adventure.
University means a lot more than bigger classes and a new campus. It's a new way of life. When you first come to the Middle Tennesee State University, you are starting all over again. New friends, new experiences, new places. Sometimes it can be hard to find your way around campus, much less find places to hang out after classes. Enter the Betas. When you join Beta Theta Pi, you are joining a fraternity full of people who have already been there. Beta Theta Pi can help you prepare yourself, as well as avoid the troubles which many students face when entering a new school. We know the pitfalls a new student will face. We've taken your classes. We also know that university life, while hard work at times, can be the greatest experience of your life, preparing for your future while living for the moment.

It's a tradition.
Those who join Beta Theta Pi benefit through experience, tradition, and a standard of excellence. Since 1839, the fraternity has been home to many of the world's greatest heroes and leaders. Beta Theta Pi has played a major role in world history. In fact, every United States political office, all the way to President, has been occupied by a member of Beta Theta Pi. Actors, war heroes, political leaders, sports legends and businessmen alike have all benefited from the Beta Theta Pi experience. Such diversity is encouraged, as the fraternity exists not to tell members who they should be or how they should act, but to help members become the person they would like to be, achieving the highest goals set for oneself.

It's Fun.
Let's face it- succeeding in school takes hard work and effort. So after all that studying, everybody needs a place to kick back and relax: a place where they can feel comfortable, be among friends and have the time of their lives. That's why we maintain the strong social schedule. Exchanges with sororities, dances, sporting events, barbeques, alumni activities, golfing, brunches, road trips... the list goes on and on. If you want to make the most out of your university experience, there is no better place than Beta Theta Pi.
