GUIDELINES

(Editor's Note: S.M.'s goal is provide a place to express feminism and address women's issues with the egalitarian perspective in mind.)

#1. You only have to have one entry form for all submissions per artist.

#2. The following submission sheet should be the only place where your name will appear. If it is present anywhere else, that particular submission will be disqualified. Visual art may have already been signed in a permanent manner, previous to this publication and artists of such works will be consulted on a case by case basis.

#3. An artist may submit any number of works, but please be reasonable and considerate of others trying to submit.

#4. We are looking for all kinds of media from writing to cartoons to sculptures to quilts, etc. Show us anything that you have that you think will relate. If you have a question, just ask.

#5. Please send all submissions to Scribbling Mob c/o Women's Studies, MTSU box 498 or bring them to the Women's Studies office, Peck Hall 109B.

Written work: All works must be typed. If the submission was not originally written in English, a translation must be provided.

Visual art section #1(Including Photography): Photographs will be accepted in lieu of original work. All photographs should be 8 x 10, as it will be easier to reproduce in that size. Our cover art (front, front inside, back inside and back) may possibly be in color, but all inside art will be reproduced in black and white, because of our restricted budget. Please plan to submit accordingly.

Visual art section #2 (Including pen and pencil sketches, cartoons and comics): Copies should be submitted rather than original work. Original art, which will be returned as soon as possible, may be requested later, for scanning quality purposes.

It is the responsibility of the artist to retrieve all artwork after the judging process is completed. Depending on room, we would like to publish most of our submissions. If you are not chosen to be this issue, we will assume your piece is being resubmitted for future issues, unless you come get it.
