Magic Girl
By Maya Nitis

Magic girl - the box maker

teaching me to be a little girl

made my mind spin
got me a black hole

and I am spinning spinning spinning

but not falling
she gave me invisible gifts

teaching my taste buds

my hands my legs my minds
Mother on Earth melted
her eyes into mine

spinning spinning but not falling

her Mother - golden haired gypsy
taught her well

she's got tricks up her sleeve       for the kids for their laugh     she's got gifts
for the older           a bag bigger than Santa Clause's
and she eye-changes     it only takes her minutes
you glance at her
     magic girl
          gypsy's daughter
               beautiful smile
you raise your eye again
          and there is a baby-girl
               mischievous
smiling her two-teeth smile-wild
and I ask          take me with you          she says Yes
