SEM Events

Society for Electronic Music’s primary goal is to cultivate interest in electronic music. One of the best ways we can do that is to host events that address specific topics related to producing electronic music. These events not only enrich the community by providing new information, but they also foster collaboration by bringing together the raw brain power and talent that are the hallmarks of MTSU students.

October 17th: Synthesis and Audio Software: Past, Present and Perhaps The Future, 4:30 in Studio B

Lee Sebel (aka Voltz) and Jason Wolf from Keytosound will be here to demonstrate KeyToSound's new suite of audio processing tools as well as Nexsyn, a softsynth with the industry's first true stereo signal path. Max Grøenlund, the founder of Keytosound, was the developer of the Koblo Studio 9000 series, one of the very first softsynths back in the late '90's. Many artists and producers keep an old Mac and OS9 just for running the Koblo synths.
