Multiple Graphs1

 Multiple graphs
Suppose we wish to show several functions on a single graph. Excel is perfectly suited to this task.
x sin(x) cos(x) sin(x)+cos(x)
0.00 0.00 1.00 1.00 Highlight all the data and select the chart wizard.  Choose x-y scatter plot.  Since the left-most column contains the abscissas,  the chart wizard will select the other columns for the ordinates. After the chart wizard is finished, you can reenter the formating of the chart to change colors, point sizes, and other artifacts of the chart itself.  For example, by selecting one of the graphs, and then right-clicking the mouse, you obtain the formatting menu for the line.  Experiment!!  There are many, many items to choose from.
