Teaching with Technology
This course looks at the next level of technology for teaching in either the traditional class or an online environment. Spend time creating electronic videos of your lectures which can be done while you are lecturing, use them in class, stream through your website or make them available for POD casting - Camtasia, Captivate. Learn to use TI Smart View - an emulator software for TI graphing calculators. Interested in learning to Animate or want to find ways to Emphasize - this course can help you do it! This course will target college algebra/statistics through calculus sequence.
Software: Snag It, Camtasia, Captivate, Virtual TI, Excel, TI-smartview, MathType, Winplot, WinStat, StatCrunch (maybe)
The videos are best viewed with screen resolution 1024 x 768. To change your screens resolution, right click on your desktop (not on an icon), and go to Properties>>Settings and adjust the screen. Watch an animated version of this in one of two formats: Flash | animated gif.
