The Virtual TI

This is a fabulous TI-emulator.  To be legal about it, you can only use it if you actually own the particular calculator.  So if you own the TI-83 plus, you can use the TI-83 emulator (ROM).  It works just like your hand-held version.

Step 1.  Download here:  http://mtsu.edu/~smcdanie/CSS_Site/VisualAlgebra/VirtualTI.zip

Step 2.  Unzip with an unzipping utility (e.g. WinZip).  If you have Windows XP, it comes with its own utility.

Step 3.  Double Click on the file named VTI.exe.

Step 4.  I forget which one is defaulted to open up.  I think it is the TI-82.  No matter which one it opens, we can change it by right clicking on the virtual TI.

Step 5.  Select the Tab of the calculator you want.  Select the ROM version.  Most tabs will only have one.  For instance, suppose you wanted the TI-83+,

then click OK.

Your calculator should change to the TI-83+.

Step 6.  You may want to manually resize the calculator to fit your monitor better.

You can also go to one of the predefined sizes by right clicking on the calculator.

Step 7.  You can also take a screenshot using the Virtual TI; right click, go to Take screenshot, and select the one you want.
