Many Colleges and Universities around the country participate in the National Science Foundation REU (Research Experience for Undergraduates) Program during the summer months. This program provides students with a small stipend and the opportunity to travel to the participating school to perform full time research. Housing and travel expenses are usually included.

Application deadlines will vary but most will fall in the range of
January-March so students should apply early.
