Outcomes for Course
| Keep this syllabus where you can find it and read it daily. You are responsible for all assignments on the syllabus unless otherwise instructed. Points will be deducted for late assignments. Assignments are to be turned in at the beginning of the class in the class homework folder. Homework not turned in at the beginning of class is considered late. Check assignment sheet on the overhead or assignment log online for what part of the assignment will be taken up and graded. Do not turn in part of an assignment; wait until you have completed the entire assignment. Homework and daily quizzes account for 2/10 (20%) of your grade. No late homework will be accepted after the unit test day.The online syllabus will be more up to date than the hard copy you were given the first day of class. Check it frequently.Unless indicated otherwise, pages assigned in the text include carefully reading text, working all exercises, and answering all questions in writing in the textbook itself. |

Extra
Credit
Possibilities
Note: At the end of each chapter is a "What's Your Advice" exercise. You may choose five of these for possible extra credit when you have completed the chapter. Extra credit for any chapter is due within one week of completiing that chapter. Extra credit will be given when there is evidence of thoughtful inclusion of what we have learned so far and further critical thinking.
Extra credit assignments should be labeled as follows:
