At the end of Chapter 1(page 32) you will find description of Phillip.

After you have read about Phillip, you are asked to “walk Phillip through the decision making process.

Determine the Problem: After you have read Phillip’s description pinpoint exactly what decision he needs to make.

Gather Information: List what information you have to help make the decision? What additional information might Phillip need to gather?

Determine Options: What are some of Phillip’s options?

Weigh Evidence: Think through the options you listed above. List pros and

cons of each

Choose Among Options: What option do you think Phillip should choose and explain why.

Taking Action: Explain in detail to Phillip what action hr should take. Be sure to include instructions on how to do what you have suggested.

Review Decision and Consequences: Predict what you think will be the result of this decision.
