Chemistry 1110 (CHEM 1110) General Chemistry

CHEM 1110 is the first semester of the majors freshman chemistry course.

The textbook used in the course is "Principles of Chemistry" by Moore, Stanitski, and Jurs. The laboratory manual is "Discovering Chemistry Vol 1, Vermillion and White. Both of these are available in the MTSU bookstore.

We are going to try to cover the first ten chapters of the textbook, in order. The following list shows which sections of each chapter should be thoroughly studied, and also gives the appropriate homework assignments.

Chapter 1: Sections 1.4, 1.5, 1.6, 1.7, 1.9, 1.10, 1.11 (NOTE: Section 1.3 is WRONG).
