Tennessee Linking Leaders
Conference
Building Partnerships for Success

:: Home :: MTSU
The National Alliance of State Science and Mathematics Coalitions (NASSMC), in collaboration with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration
( NASA ), sponsor’s the state-based Linking Leaders program.

Program’s primary goals are:
  • Provide resources and
    opportunities for state-level leadership groups
  • Collaborate with NASA and its affiliates for the purpose of aligning NASA’s resources with the state’s mathematics, science, and technology education (MSTE) reform agenda;
  • Build the commitment to establish and strengthen a
    broad-based coalition of
    business, education, and
    public policy
  • Address the state’s MSTE
    needs.

In each participating state, NASSMC supports a three-year process designed to align NASA’s programs and resources with the systemic efforts of the coalition to improve mathematics, science, and technology education for all students.

The State of Tennessee is participating in the Linking Leader Program (2002-2005). The NASA and NASSMC funded program is coordinated through the Tennessee Mathematics, Science, and Technology Education Center.
