Clinical Program

The clinical component of the educational program includes a minimum of 1200 clinical hours under the direct supervision of a certified athletic trainer at the college or affiliated site. Clinical hours will be accumulated during the Sophomore, Junior and Senior years. The majority of those hours will be accumulated in team coverage that occurs between the hours of noon and six o'clock PM Monday through Friday. Students should keep that time as free of other obligations as possible. It is recognized that other academic pursuits might occur during this time frame, but every effort must be taken by the student to be available to satisfy their obligation to the clinical component of the educational program.
