Bobby Barlow, MS, ATC

Bobby earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Mississippi and his Master's degree from Mississippi College. Before coming to MTSU, Bobby was the head athletic trainer at Mississippi College and the Director of Sports Medicine and the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Bobby and his wife, Susanne, have two children ages 4 and 2. Bobby's hobbies include golf and umpiring.

Jason will be starting his 4th year here at MTSU and is an instructor and clinical coordinator for our ATEP program. Jason currently is working on his dissertation - "Validation of a Computerized Simulation Exam in Athletic Training". Before MTSU, Jason was the Assistant Athletic Trainer at California State University, Chico for two years, and the Head Athletic Trainer for the Chico Heat, an independent minor league team in California. His interests include golf, instructional technology, and eating just about anything.

Kevin Parker, M.Ed., ATC

Kevin received his undergraduate degree from Miami University of Ohio and his master's degree from Auburn University. Kevin's is primarily responsible for men's basketball, supervision of baseball, soccer, men's and women's tennis. He is also an Adjunct Instructor in our Undergraduate Athletic Training Education Program. Kevin's hobbies include reading, and a new interest in rock climbing

 

Eric Fuchs, ABD, ATC, EMT  

 

Eric is currently in his third year as a Doctoral Graduate Assistant assigned to cover Football and Men's and Women's Track and Field, he spent his first year as the head athletic trainer at Riverdale High School. In addition, to assisting with other blue raider athletic events. Eric earned his B.S. of Health from Ohio University in 1992 and his M.A. of Human Performance from San Jose State University in 1994. Eric is currently working on his dissertation - "Learning Style Characteristics of Athletic Training Students." Eric is an EMT-IV and has been an EMT for 10 years. Eric's prior experience includes serving as a High School athletic trainer/ Teacher for 5 years, Clinical Instructor in New Mexico State University's ATEP, Head Athletic Trainer and instructor at Rose State College. In addition to serving as the Head Athletic Trainer for the East Team in the Tennessee High School East West all-star football game in 1999 and 2000. Eric served as a two-week volunteer for the USOTC in Colorado Springs, CO. Eric's professional service includes serving as a NATA-BOC Examiner, a JRC-AT Site Visitor, and a Clinical Instructor Educator. Eric's areas of research interest included Learning Style Characteristics and the Emergency Care of the Critically Injured Athlete. Eric's interests include, mountain biking, whitewater rafting, roller-blading, Ice Hockey, and billiards.
   
Tonya Moreland, M.S., ATC  
  Tonya graduated from Texas Christian University in 1997 with a BS in Kinesology. While there she enjoyed working as a student athletic trainer with football, women's soccer, tennis, and other sports. Tonya also enjoyed an internship with the Fort Worth/Dallas Ballet. After passing the Texas state licensure and NATABOC exams she worked independently for a short time. In 2000 Tonya graduated from University of Oregon with a Masters of Science in Sports Medicine and a secondary focus in Biomechanics. While at UO she worked with University Health Center - Sports Medicine/ Physical Therapy department for two years and the Club Sports program for one. Her interests include mountain biking, traveling, reading, and have recently discovered a new interest in rock climbing.

 

Brett Gustman, ATC  
Brett is in his second year as Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer for MTSU Athletics. His primary responsibility is football, while assisting with other Blue Raider Athletic Events. Brett came to Middle Tennessee after earning his BS in Athletic Training from West Virginia University in 2000. Originally from Morganville, New Jersey, Gustman is working towards his Masters of Science Degree in Health Education. Previous experience includes working with the New Jersey Red Dogs (Arena Football).

Jason Peavy, ATC  
Jason is currently in his second year at Middle Tennessee State Univerisity. Jason's primary responsible is taking care of the MTSU Baseball team and also assisting in various other sports at MTSU. Jason received his bachelor's of science degree from the University of West Alabama in Athletic Training and Sports Medicine. He became a certified member of the National Athletic Trainers Association in November of 2000. Jason and his wife Amy are expecting their first child in December.

Jessica Hanson, ATC  
Jessica is the Certified Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer working with women's soccer and tennis this year. She is in her second year of graduate classes, transferring from SEMO, where she worked, primarily, with women's gymnastics. Jessica comes to us from Capieal University in Columbus, Ohio, where she double majored in Athletic Training and Health/Fitness Management. While at Capital, she workd with the football, soccer, baseball and softball teams. During her senior year she interned at the Ohio State University Medical Center's rehabilitation department with the OSU team physicians.

 

Tasha Adams  
Tasha begins her first year as a Graduate Assistant with Middle Tennessee athletic training. Her primary responsiblities will be working with the Lady Raider volleyball and softball teams. Prior to joining the Middle Tennessee staff, Tasha spent the spring of 2001 working a semester long field experience at Louisana State University where she worked with the football, volleyball and softball teams. Tasha recieved her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Valdosta State University. While at Valdosta, she worked with the softball, football, and volleyball teams.
