In the
1970's there were few African-American students on the
MTSU campus. There were even fewer students who were
members of historically black greek letter
organizations. There were already a couple of sororities
on the MTSU campus, but there was still something
missing. MTSU was a great school, but it wasn't
wonderful. It wasn't yet Marvelous.
On
September 17, 1977, there was the realization of Zeta
Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. on the campus of Middle
Tennessee State University.
It was on this day that some Marvelous finally happened
at MTSU.
The four women (known as the Sweet Inspirations) who founded this chapter brought
with them determination and force.
The Mu Theta Chapter is
dedicated and committed to upholding all the principles
and standards set forth by our founders, this
organization, and Sweet Inspirations (the Charter Line).
